Dog shoots owner, Hunting dog shoots owner. A 46-year-old hunter is blaming his dog for accidentally shooting him. Police say that after the unidentified Utah man put his gun down, the dog set it off, and the man was hit with about 27 pellets of birdshot. He wasn't seriously injured, in part because of his hunting gear.
